Had one of the best camping trips ever. Owners were gave super customer service, Bathrooms were always clean and stocked. The river is great for tubing, fishing, swiming, and gold panning and dregging.(not on the weekends) Large sites so you can spread out and enjoy your camping. The campground is watched over verywell, it is very peacfull. Saterday night by the river is sing your song night, and a heck of a lot of fun. We will be coming back again and again. This is the place you want to stay at.

My friends organized a big 2nd annual music festival to be held at this campground. I did not come the first year, but this year was a blast!!! I know this testimonial is a little after the fact, but the experience we had at Etowah River Campground lingers on!!! Darrell and Jaki are great, fun people that will do anything to help your experience be as smooth and easy as possible. Darrell hosted a tubing shuttle that my dog, Fifi, and I were lucky enough to partake in two of the three days we were there. I lost my hat on the road during one of the shuttles and Darrell dropped us off to float down the river while he went back and looked for it! They also went into town for us because we were too busy, or something ;). These two were wonderful to us and I haven't even begun with the scenery. It is just beautiful. Camping alongside the water was serene, I was barefoot and shirtless for three days without a care in the world. I'd talk about how nice the showers were, but I didn't use them!! I did hear they were great, though :). It was very private, so there were not any shady people wandering around making you think twice. This is a top notch spot to camp and I will always have it at the top of my list of places to camp near my home in Marietta. Anyway, Just go and experience it for yourself. If you don't, you'll be missing out on a great, peaceful experience!

Really had a great time here. Loved our camping spot. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Made us all feel right at home there. Nice Hot Showers, although the bathroom needed a tad bit of tlc but not terrible. All in all we loved it here and will be coming back to camp again!

Almost 3 weeks .. was only supposed to be a long weekend. Truly heaven, great people. My children still have the urge - to be honest I know there will always inside of us .. its truly heaven - I thank the owners and beautiful Angelina for there awesome hospitality. Music, Tubing, Kayak, fishing, swimming, panning, sliding, horse rides, the list is endless. Amazing - Much love and gratitude. THIS IS WHERE THE NATION WOULD GO ON A PERMANENT VACATION.

Awesome Experience!
This is the 3rd time I've gone to the Etowah River Campground. My kids cannot get enough. We always tent next to the river where we have access to electric and water. The owners have Ice and firewood on the premises and if you ask they will rent you a tube for a lazy float down the river. They even supply the ride to the drop in point for free! Nice bathrooms with hot water and Clean. Trash cans are situated throughout which the owner picks up daily. Plenty to do and see in the Dahlonega area. For $20 a night, I will definitely be back this summer!!!!

WOW! What a retreat!
This campground is secluded in the valleys of the Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the Etowah River. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Tubes were available for rent to float the river and they shuttled us to the drop in point. Ice, firewood & other necessary supplies were also available at the office. There was a huge playground/play area for the kids. The bath house was clean and well maintained (considering the weather). An added bonus was the guy giving kids a ride on his motorized picnic table. Yes, I said a motorized picnic table -- the kids loved it. This campground has gone to the top of my list. I may never camp anywhere else again.

Best Camping Experience EVER!!!
We camped at this campground over Memorial Weekend and had a great time and will definitely be going back again and again. Sites are large, full hook-up on RV sites and electric and water on tent sites. Bathrooms are clean and fully stocked. Great for tubing, fishing, relaxing, etc. The owners are great, very helpful. They have ice and wood available if needed, along with a few essentials which is great, once you're there you never have to leave. We highly recommend it.
